Notice to ALL referees
The following is the criteria* for referee selection:
Co-ed Division
1st Hillcrest House League players of families who are sponsors and/or current volunteers (executive, convenors, head coaches, co-ordinators)
2nd Last season's referees that are current House League Players.
3rd Balance of last season's referees.
4th New referees from Hillcrest families
*Midget Refs - if we cannot fill with the experience required to ref at this level, consideration may be given to allow refs outside the criteria.
We will try to accomodate all refereeing requests but, due to our current number of referees, in our Co-ed Division, we do not anticipate accepting referees in the last two categories. You may want to check with the NYHL or the GTHL (go to links section on this website), as they are always looking for referees.
Girl's Division
Same Criteria as above. We do encourage girls to consider refereeing in our girls houseleague.
We will first fill the Hillcrest refereeing requirements from the first category, from applications received, on a first come first serve basis. We will then try to accomodate all refereeing requests, in the 2nd category and then the 3rd category and then the 4th category, from applications received.
