                                                                    Our Mission

Our mission, as a community based hockey association, is to provide a safe, fair, positive, respectful, environment for our players to play and enjoy the game of hockey.

Our primary focus is on the development of our future citizens while teaching the game of hockey. To this end, teamwork, co-operation, respect, obeying rules, perseverance and commitment will be emphasized and coaches, convenors and executive will present themselves as role models in all instances.

Fair and equal treatment of all players will be the first and foremost goal, guiding all that we do – all season long and in every instance.

Hillcrest Village Minor Hockey has been around since 1965, providing both recreational and competitive hockey to the families in our community.  The house league program is a non-profit organization that is made possible through the dedication of its volunteers and sponsors.

Our unique approach to hockey development is what separates us from other organizations. We welcome you to check us out.

"The Hillcrest Way”
Unique line change system developed many years ago that continues to be one of our main focuses, making house league hockey fun for all participants at Hillcrest.

At our Tyke, Novice, Atom and Junior Girls levels, our players play with and against players of similar ability.  Players have an equal opportunity to participate in the on-ice play and are not subjected to one or two players dominating the play.  As well, stronger players are challenged by playing against stronger players.

We have also designed "Special Rules" for our Tyke players that help to keep them moving and improve the flow of the game.

At Hillcrest we believe in our youth and encourage them to get involved in coaching and refereeing.
